National HIV/AIDS Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day is the first ever national effort to advance the interests of long-term survivors of HIV/AIDS, both positive and negative, men and women. This Thursday, June 5 in Portland we’ll briefly gather in the NW Park blocks right off Burnside to share a few words, then stroll to nearby Hobo’s restaurant and bar for a toast and conversation. This is not a commemoration, nor a solemn occasion. Although we’ll look back a bit, we’re mainly looking ahead, and reclaiming our lives! And we plan to be fabulous!
