Portland Gay Men’s Chorus 35th Season!
The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus enters its 35th season riding a wave of some of the greatest advancements for gay and lesbian rights in the past generation. So what better time to share our history, spread some joy, and extol the irrepressible Spirit of our community? Beyond the four Portland presentations that PGMC will offer next year, the Heart of the season will be a series of outreach concerts to six Oregon communities. And the March premiere of Broadway composer Andrew Lippa’s I am Harvey Milk alongside PGMC’s 35th Anniversary Commission by Portland composer Scot Crandal will be the Soul of PGMC’s season-long celebration. In this yet-to-be-titled work, PGMC will sing the praises of social change that have been wrought by over three decades of LGBT activism since Harvey Milk reminded us that “hope is never silent.”
