Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Tyler and Denetta from Cascade Aids Project join us to talk about National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day serves to raise awareness of the disproportionate burden of HIV/AIDS among African Americans. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), compared with other racial and ethnic groups, African Americans account for a higher proportion of new HIV infections, those living with HIV, and those ever diagnosed with AIDS.
